Nickus Robbertse

Nickus has been with LBS since April 2013. He studied LLB at the North West University (NWU Pukke) and obtained his degree in 2008, after which he also did a LLM degree in Labour Law at NWU Pukke which he obtained in 2009.

He completed his articles at Noltes Inc in Ermelo, after which he was successfully admitted as an Attorney and worked at Wessels & Hattingh Inc in Pietermaritzburg before joining the LBS family in 2013 as HR Manager.

In August 2019, Nickus was promoted to General Manager where he is currently overseeing the day to day running of LBS and all its departments.

Robyn-Leigh Hudson

Robyn-Leigh started off by obtaining a Diploma in Business Management, Degree in Fine Arts and Honours in Language Practice from the University of the Free State.

Although her intention was to become a lecturer, she elected to join Interstate Bus Lines (IBL) in Bloemfontein as Planner in the Technical Department during 2015. She gained experience in vehicle service and maintenance, stock holding and control as well as auditing and financial planning.

It was this experience that led to her appointment as Technical Manager at LBS in February 2020 where she oversees the workshop and stores departments along with its budget, stock and service schedules.

Jacob Moloantoa

Operations manager

Growing up in the Lephalale area, Jacob started his employment relationship with LBS in June 1993 as a Ticket Seller and Cashier. After 13 years, Jacob was promoted to ETM Machine Technician in 2006.

During that time, Jacob gained extensive knowledge of the Company’s Public Transport Department (DOT), which led to his promotion as Operations Manager in 2014 when he was assigned with overseeing the DOT Transport Arrangements and Operations.

In 2018, Jacob was also assigned with the overseeing of the Exxaro Grootgeluk Main Contract’s Transport Arrangements and Operations.

Kobus Bezuidenhout

Kobus was a Senior Security Officer at Anglo Ashanti Gold Mine for 15 years, after which he joined Vaal Maseru Bus Services in Rustenburg. There he started in the position of Assistant Traffic Manager, after which he was promoted to Operations Manager in 2011.

Kobus held that position until 2014, when he joined the Lowveld Family as Operations Manager in which he is currently overseeing all Commercial Contract Transport Arrangements and Operations at the Medupi Power Station and Exxaro Grootgeluk Coal Mine.
